HOUSE MUSIC
Matt Correa has been producing music of various styles since the mid-90s. His beginnings were based on drum&bass and hip-hop to later dedicate himself to house music, from the most beachy deep to the most forceful tech. The first release was on vinyl format in Playing Cards Records, a label co-owned with Angel Santos DJ. Currently he produces house music with touches of funk and disco.
Matt Correa – Make It Funk (Street King Records NY) This production was played by Claptone on 2019 and included in his podcast Clapcast 194. It was on top100 several weeks. Includes remix by Jacobo Padilla and was produced in my studio.
HIP-HOP MUSIC
He never left hip-hop aside and currently dedicates part of his time to this genre, being very selective when it comes to choosing vocalists. His style is very personal and different. He goes through electro and Gfunk with jazz, funk, soul and old school influences.
Choco Ganga – No Es El Waso (CPR004) Hip Hop production for Choco Ganga. Made with Hardware synths and where I played the bassguitar, the guitar, the keyboards and where I did the arrangements. All recorded and produced in my studio included the voices.
CHILL OUT / LOUNGE MUSIC
A genre that accompanies him from the beginning is chill out and lounge since in this way he can express his musical concerns and compose songs with more harmonic and melodic content. His latest productions of this genre have reached number one in the top 100 on some digital portals such as Traxsource, have been included in CD compilation and have more than 95k plays in Spotify.
Matt Correa – Euphony feat Alexey (Extracted from Gentle and Down, Guerrilla Records Third Anniversary Collection) and Matt Correa – An Afternoon feat Alexey (GRML038)
Was number one on the Traxsource Chill Out / Lounge Top100 for about 3 weeks and stayed in the top 100 in different positions for about eight months. Also it was included in some CD compilations, was broadcasted in radio stations and djs still playing it. All produced and recorded in my studio even the guitar lines.
BREAKBEAT MUSIC
His most energetic face is unfolded through the breakbeat where he puts all the meat on the grill with very danceable and powerful productions, releasing all his anger and turning it into something positive and memorable, full of rave influences and paying tribute to bands like Prodigy or Chemical Broders.
Alejandra Toledano, Superbreaker – Let It Flow / Only You (UNB004)
I make Breakbeat music as Superbreaker. This release with Alejandra Toledano was included and reviewed in DJMAG Spain by Evilsound. It was made by hardware synthesizers and the voices was recorded in my studio.
POP MUSIC
Furthermore, as a music producer he does not leave pop aside. Careful productions and full of interesting arrangements, with catchy harmonies and melodies, trying to fit into the industry with songs that perfectly fit the falls of the composer, singer or instrumentalist.
Alejandra Toledano – Mundo Remixes (Produced by Matt Correa)
Pop music is always present in my productions and in this single it becomes evident. Three songs produced and recorded in my studio. the bass lines were played by me as well as the keyboards. The voices were also recorded in my studio. This single entered the Traxsource top100 reaching very high positions.
MUSIC ON DEMAND
Music for television, radio or videogames. Custom jingles and jingles on demand. Music for news and informative programs, meteorological spaces, headlines or generic music for television channels are some of the works that Matt has done in the past. Audio editing and editing for video mapping and product presentations. Endless options where he unleashes his most creative side and flaunts sound design.
RTVMARBELLA – GENERIC JINGLE
I made several works for television, radio and music on demand. Music for news report, weather report, sports or music for video games. Also I made some tunes for film production companies or tunes for internet video podcasts.
Yo Vi Un Fantasma (Vídeo podcast)
A show about paranormal activities. I made this tune recording hits on a spring reverb, playing cymbals with a bow and many other resources. The result was a scary tune optimal for this kind of content.
MY STUDIO
Matt’s studio is always in constant evolution. Its beginnings were simple, with a Korg M1 and an Atari Amiga500 enlarged to 1mg, to later incorporate the first PC, the first mixing console and a Korg Poly800II in the mid or late 90s. From there everything grew little little by little, selling and buying new pieces and always looking for curious devices from which to extract original sounds

SYNTHS AND OTHER STUFF
DEEJAY
DJ since the late 90s. I am able to develop sessions with three or four vinyl or CD players, including scratching and incorporating synthesizers or drum machines to enrich the session. As a DJ I like a wide range of styles. House, Deep, Jackin and Tech House focused on the dance floor. Jazz, Funk, Disco, Soul and Chill in general in ambient sessions for restaurants or hotels. After residing at Cappuccino Grand Café Marbella for about 10 years, now, in 2024, I´m a daily DJ at the Dolce & Gabbana Martini terrace in Puerto Banús (Marbella) and at the five-star Ikos Andalusia Hotel..
LIVE SETS
Matt Correa Live is focused on live music, leaving computers and studio workflow aside. House, Deep and Jackin, Funk, Jazz, Disco and Soul. All this under the command of two Akai MPC2500 and a mixing desk, seasoned with small synthesizers, iPads or minor percussion. A simple but effective formula to improvise your own live productions.
